With so many fantastic products gracing the shelves of our on-site shop, Calveley Mill, each month we are shining the spotlight on just one of the fantastic brands that we stock. This month we are taking a look at Staffordshire Brewery.
Established in 2002 by Adrian Corke and Sue Carline, Staffordshire Brewery was first brewed in a garden shed, using two fermenters and a four barrelled plan, and was bottled in the kitchen.
From that point on sales of their delicious product continued to grow, leading to their move into a 1000sq ft unit, with a six-barrel plant, with the beers sold predominantly at local farmers’ markets. Just eight years after they began, Staffordshire Brewery welcomed Director and shareholder, Nigel Cope in 2010, and in the following year formulated six new recipes, leading to their expansion of their plant once again.
Since then the brewery’s expansion has continued, now boasting state of the art facilities that allows over 3000 bottles an hour to be filled. Their dedication to producing a quality product is highlighted with their accreditation for Safe and Local Supplier Approval (SALSA) and supplier associate membership of the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).
Just some of the products Staffordshire Brewery produces are:
- Rudyard Ruby Premium
- Staffordshire Hoppy Bitter
- Double Sunset Ale
- Black Grouse Stout
- Staffordshire Gold Beer
- Danebridge IPA
